P3TAL ("we", "us", "the app") is a skincare knowledge-sharing platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

WHAT WE COLLECT

P3TAL collects only the data you explicitly provide within the app:

- Apple ID identifier — a stable, anonymous token provided by Sign in with Apple. We never receive your real name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily share them.

- Handle — a username you choose during onboarding.

- Skin profile — skin type, conditions, Fitzpatrick type, and climate/region, entered by you.

- Photos — images you upload for vote submissions or your profile. Photos are stored as CloudKit assets in Apple's infrastructure.

- In-app activity — votes, bounties, guild memberships, DAG graphs, and Dew balances created through normal use of the app.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

- Real names

- Email addresses

- Phone numbers

- Payment or financial information

- Location data (unless you opt in to the location signal feature)

- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints

- Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind

- Cookies or web tracking

NO TRANSACTIONS

P3TAL does not process any financial transactions. "Dew" is a purely synthetic reputation point system with no monetary value. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or payment flows.

DATA STORAGE

All data is stored in Apple CloudKit:

- Public data (profiles, votes, bounties, DAGs, guilds) is stored in the CloudKit public database and is visible to other authenticated users.

- Private data (blocked users list) is stored in your private CloudKit container and is never accessible to other users or to us.

We do not operate our own servers. We do not have direct access to your CloudKit data. All data is governed by Apple's infrastructure and Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

P3TAL uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or external APIs. The app communicates exclusively with Apple CloudKit.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Your data persists in CloudKit as long as your account exists. To delete your data, you can:

- Delete individual content (bounties, votes, DAGs) from within the app.

- Delete your profile by contacting us at privacy@p3tal.app. We will remove your CloudKit records within 30 days.

- Revoke Sign in with Apple credentials via Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID, which will prevent further access.

CHILDREN

P3TAL requires users to be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

P3TAL uses Sign in with Apple exclusively. Tap the Sign in with Apple button on the launch screen. No email or password is needed — your Apple ID is your identity.

Dew is P3TAL's reputation point system. You start with 100. You earn Dew by voting correctly in Crowd Signal games, completing bounties, and having your DAGs forked by other users. You lose Dew by voting incorrectly or abandoning guild commitments. Dew has no monetary value — it represents your track record.

A user uploads two photos. The crowd bets on which one is the "after" (the improved result). If you guess correctly, you earn Dew from the losing pool. If you guess wrong, you lose your stake. The creator reveals the answer after the deadline.

A bounty is a skincare question posted with a Dew reward. You describe your skin profile, your concerns, what you've tried, and what hasn't worked. Other users form guilds to research and submit structured recommendations.

Guilds are small teams that collaborate on bounty responses. Members stake Dew, submit reasoning across multiple rounds, and earn rewards when the bounty requester accepts their recommendation.

A DAG (directed acyclic graph) is a visual map of your skincare journey. Each node represents a product, ingredient, reaction, or concern. Edges connect them to show how one discovery led to the next. You can fork other users' DAGs to build on their experience.

Yes. Contact privacy@p3tal.app and we will remove your CloudKit records within 30 days. You can also revoke Sign in with Apple access via your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID.
